Integrated CAN-BUS monitoring supporting CANoe by Vector Informatik
Key Facts
  • The Option concept of R&S®EMC32-S version 6.0 allows functionality extensions according to the specific customer needs. For previous versions of R&S®EMC32-S please order the R&S®EMC32-U6 Upgrade package.
  • EMS measurement features for automotive and military applications The following measurement functions for generating interference are implemented specifically for the automotive industry:
    • The test specifications for conducted susceptibility (BCI) stipulate the measurement of amplifier harmonics and the limiting of the current susceptibility level. To make this possible, EMC32-K1 provides a function for monitoring harmonics via a spectrum analyzer or test receiver. This function can also be used for amplifier testing.
    • Parallel measurement of forward and reflected power and susceptibility level boost measurement speed and EUT throughput.
    • To ensure the reproducibility of test results, EMC32-K1 supports the TEM cell attenuation measurement required in ISO 11452-3.
    • User defined equations make it possible to calculate additional single quantities from the currently measured values, for example the system impedance of the BCI test setup.
    • Support of direct power injection (DPI) measurements in line with ISO11452-7.
    • EUT monitoring of automotive bus systems (CAN, LIN, MOST FlexRay) together with the software package CANoe from Vector Informatik.
  • Automatic determination of immunity thresholds It is important – particularly in development – to determine maximum susceptibility versus frequency. The extensive monitoring capabilities allow this measurement task to be automated. The interference level will be decreased until the DUT error disappears and then increased again until the DUT error reappears.
  • Simultaneous automatic/interactive fault analysis of several DUT parameters EMC32-K1 allows the determination of up to 10 different manually detected DUT faults. In addition all EUT monitoring channels are controlled in parallel. EMC32-K1 records the determined immunity threshold for every error mode and creates a result table and result graphic for every subsystem.
